3 Ways to Make Holiday Travel Easier

Posted by Travel Blogger on Nov 25, 2009 in Business Travel |

Do you travel a lot for your job? If you do, like me, you realize that it can sometimes be a real challenge when you have to navigate around the throngs of holiday travelers. Traveling now days is tough enough with the heightened security, but you know how to be ready, and breeze through airports.

On normal travel days, that is.

Here’s 3 must do items when I know I have to travel close to and around holiday time.

  1. Absolutely no bag checking. Standing in additional lines during holidays is just not wise
  2. Sit at the front of the plane. I’ll do whatever I have to in order to get off the plane first.
  3. Stock up on $1 bills. The flight attendants have it tough normally; holiday travel makes it worse for them.

I guess that 3rd one is actually going away now that more of the airlines actually accept your debit & credit cards for in flight purchases.

Anyhow, happy Thanksgiving to those of you I know, and I’ll hopefully know some day soon. Oh, and a special holiday greeting to Grandmother. Don’t worry, I’ll be there to see you before we cut into your honey glazed ham! (yummy, by the way!)
