Golfing While in Los Angeles

When I leave L.A., I’ll be heading up to Seattle for a nice week long stay at one of those extended stay hotel suites. These are really cool because you feel just like you’re at home when you’re there. I should add that to my list of reasons that traveling is great. The relative luxury of just having a microwave and coffee maker in your room is awesome!

Since I have some extra time because of the earlier meeting, I’ve decided to cab it over to the local golf course at Rancho Park. I’m no great golfer, but I do enjoy the solitude of the game. Being able to focus in on making improvements to my swing; putting better, that sort of stuff.

Not sure if I’ll have time to get a full course run, but if memory serves correct, there have a very nice driving range there. Now days, you don’t even need to bring your own golf clubs either. Most every pro shop I’ve ever been to will allow you to borrow a couple for the range. And the rental fee for a complete set is pretty cheap.

So, if you feel like being a golfer, but don’t want to lug your clubs through airports and all around as you travel, just do like I do: rent them!

Now if I could just get my scores lower…
