Just a Little Sick and Out of Sorts
My apologies for having taken so much time since my last posting. It seems that every few years a wallop of a sinus ailment decides to hit me upside my head. I suppose hit me INSIDE my head is the better way to describe it.
Have you ever suffered from a sinus infection or heavily impacted sinuses? If so, you know exactly what I’m referring to, I’ll bet. The very first time I was afflicted, the package deal included some inner ear challenges.
Of course you brainy types know this is where your balance mechanisms are located. Well, I literally woke up one morning, attempted to rise out of bed and literally fell over because I couldn’t maintain my balance.
But that wasn’t the worst of it. If my head were to move at all, lucky me got to experience motion sickness. It only lasted a couple of weeks, and while it was extremely bad the first 6 or 8 days, it really was not fun. I hope to never experience that specific set of symptoms again.
This time is a bit different. The main symptom is the pressure and pain that brings. Almost equally though, is the eye muscle fatigue caused by the sinus pressures. The effects are my eyes are tired and it becomes difficult to scan visually, back and forth. Driving becomes a challenge as does anything that requires acute ability to focus quickly.
Good news is that things are subsiding. As I work on my travel schedule for the month I find myself slowly, surely feeling better. And that’s a good thing because this is going to be nice West Coast month.
Other than my (don’t say clingy
) clients in Denver, the entire month’s worth of travel takes place in California and Washington State. In deep winter that’s always a welcome itinerary!
